Today I had a half day to myself to acclimatize, which consisted of checking out the old town and eating and drinking at several different places.

Mum and dad arrived from East Midlands Airport at 17:00 and then we went out for an early dinner, so early, the cook was still at home eating after his Ramazan fast, but the waiter was able to warm us up lentil soup and vine leaves - Mercimek Çorbasi, Sarma, and menemen (scrambled eggs) for mum.

After that we had a Künefe each for pudding, early night now since mum and dad have been up since 5am.Leia mais
