Monte Albán

Inhabited over a period of 1500 years by a succession of peoples – Olmecs, Zapotecs and Mixtecs – the terraces, dams, canals, pyramids and artificial mounds of Monte Albán were literally carved out of the mountain and are the symbols of a sacred topography.

Yuto and I visited this place together and after about an hour and a half we decided to walk back to the city center which was only 9 kilometers away. We enjoyed the warm weather and shared a lot of cool traveling stories on our hike.Read more
