Day 34, on our way to La Paz

It was not a very exciting day. We had the free breakfast of the hotel, checked out, and went to the bus. After an hour everybody got out of the bus. We thought it was a toilet break, because nobody said anything. But then we had to walk with a soldier around the corner and he made us buy tickets for something 🤷‍♀️ it was only 60 cents. We then found out that we had to take the ferry, and that the bus was going on its own boat, and we had to take a smaller boat to the other side 🤭 at the other side it was unclear where we would go back to the bus. Luckily we saw it, because the bus would have driven away if we were not there. 1,5 hours later we arrived to La Paz, and the view was amazing! In La Paz it was a bit 'spannend' because the big bus had to make very short and very steep corners, and was shaking very much. It took another 1,5 hours untill we arrived.
We didn't have internet on our phones here in Bolivia, so it was a bit difficult to find the hotel. But we did in the end, left our stuff, and went walking around. La Paz is a very hilly and mountainy city, with lots of small streets, which makes it a little unoverseeable and cramped.
We tried to get a sim card to get internet, but we had to go to an office, but that was closed. We went to eat something, walked around some more, and went to the hotel. We watched movies and fell asleep.Read more
