• Day 36, last day La Paz

    February 9 in Bolivia ⋅ 🌙 21 °C

We were lazy today and left the hotel around 12. For Brunch we had really nice pancakes, yoghurt with fruit, and some fancy hipster coffee special brew 🤷‍♀️
We ate everything and went on our way to the cable cars (seilbahn, kabelbaan) of the white line. We went all the way to the end and enjoyed the view. Here we also saw crusty the clown selling doughnuts 🤭
The museum del revolucia was also here and we were lucky we could still go in, because it was supposed to close in two minutes. On the first floor there were modern paintings that had nothing to do with the revolution, and in the basement there were only busts of people with hardly any background story. There was also a bust of jesus 🤷‍♀️
So we were quickly done here and went outside. There we saw the Catfe, a restaurant and bar with cat decorations and glastonbury concerts playing on a tv. First we wanted to drink a beer (Huari) because eike didnt drink that bolivian beer yet, but unfortunatly the owners were waiting for the beer delivery. So we got offered an other beer called Taquiña, as the beer would come in 20 minutes. Its a maiz beer which was also quite tasty. (Nina and eike are unsure if they had another one. Nina says we were waiting for an hour, eike says 20 minutes 🤭) We finished it while listen to the music, and then we got a fresh huari beer in a champagne bucket filled with ice 😅 when we finished it, it started to rain, so we decided to stay here and eat something. The people were nice, and so was Mr. Perry the dog with two eye colors. The lady offered real bolivian food, so we wanted it. 20 mins she said... hahaha. 1,5 hour and two more beers later, we finally got our food. It was really nice potato fries with some kind of stew over it, with meat, sausage, onions, and green peppers.
We went to the hotel, because it got dark and cold. We got our jackets, and went to Turno Noctorno, it was open today (we saw it before when it was closed) it had an old 50's hospital theme. We ordered 2 cocktails and heard a lot of modern talking. He did on purpose, because when different song came, he put another one of modern talking on. At cherry cherry lady we left. It costed 36 bolivianos (in total 4 euros), and we got a shot when we left for free. Then we went to Equinoccio, and we had to pay enterance. Two kids told us yesterday they have sometimes metal bands, so we dont know what comes next. The band starts at 00:00 and a tiny beer costs 30 bolivianos, which is expensive (3,60 in euro for 30cl). We drank some beers there and watched the band, which was a latino pop rock cover band. It was quite fun to watch them. The best was the male singer, who looked like he didn't care while chewing gum and looking at his phone 😅 later we think he was new in thw band and had to look up the lyrics. At 1.30pm we left and went back to our hotel and went to sleep.
