    Cracker Barrel & Cabella's

    We headed out last night at 8:30, got through Toronto, and stayed in the parking lot of the Milton Walmart. This morning we headed for the border. Due to the fact we have a commercial truck, we were directed through the border with the transports. First stop was Cracker Barrel for a late lunch. Then it was on to the Cabella's in Dundee. We found our dream side by side! We stayed in the Cabella's parking lot for the night.Baca selengkapnya

    City of Frankenmuth

    Today we traveled to Frankenmuth. We tried the chicken dinners they are famous for at lunch. Wandered the shops and then headed to Bronner's, the world's largest Christmas shop. We were surprised by how few people were around today compared to visits in previous years.     Macinac Island

    We headed to Macinaw City first thing. We checked out the shops and then took the ferry over to Macinac Island. Vehicles are not allowed. Everyone walks, bikes, or takes horse-drawn carriages. It was really nice. The Grand Hotel is pretty. There's a fort to explore, lots of shops, and the carriage tour was very informative.Baca selengkapnya

    Traverse City

    This morning we headed to Traverse City, on the western side of Michigan. We went to Mari Vineyards and took a tour. It was a gorgeous setting with neat underground caves. It's owned by Marty Lagina (Oak Island). We toured Mission Point Peninsula. It's very similar to Prince Edward County. We played mini golf and had supper at Cracker Barrel.Baca selengkapnya

    Gaylord - Golfing & The Fair

    We started our day with an 8 am tee off time at Michaywe Golf Course. We were met by deer in the parking lot. We have never golfed so close to houses, but had no problem. We didn't even hit into anyone's yard. We had lunch at the trailer and then headed to the county fair. A disappointment. I wanted to see their homecrafts, and there were hardly any.     Otsego Golf Resort

    We rested at the trailer, went for a short drive, and then headed to Otsego Resort for a round of golf. We had an amazing lunch at the resort before heading out on the course. We did the Tribute course. It was challenging, and I lost a record number of balls. It was a huge loop through the woods.     Headed for Home Day 1

    After bouncing on the bouncy mat at the campground, we hit the road for home. We are taking the northern loop home. We stopped at Macinaw City again and then over the Macinaw Bridge to the upper peninsula of Michigan. It was a day of driving then.
