Ware

We enjoyed good weather on Saturday so we stayed on the site - taking a long walk around the lakes. Plenty of fishing activity on the fishing lakes, and the school parties were enjoying themselves on the adventure playground. Plenty of geese to contend with around the lakes - Magnus spotted two clutches of duck eggs in the undergrowth - no sign of ducks to incubate them though.
Stewart pitched off into Ware to get some tennis balls and we all enjoyed a few games of cricket in the afternoon sunshine. We enjoyed a sea bass bbq in the evening. Of course we had to share a bottle or 2 of fizz!!! We taught Jemima the game of "big pop", which basically involves chasing the cork as it bursts out of the bottle!!!! She'll be able to compete with her cousins and brother now when we next all get together.
Sunday breakfast was eaten in the van, as there was a cover of drizzle - scrambled egg and bacon enjoyed by all. Soon after the sun returned to the sky and we repeated our walks around the lakes and played some more cricket prior to making our fond farewells in the afternoon.Read more
