Aldeyjarfoss

Because of the cancellation of the whale watching trip, we suddenly got a free slot this afternoon. After visiting Godafoss, I suddenly remembered that I found that I have bookmarked Aldeyjarfosson on my map but didn’t actually plan to visit it. With free time now, why not give it a try?

This one is surely one of the hidden gems. It is located about a further 40 minutes driving towards South from Godafoss with gravel road, but it definitely worths the drive. It's so remote that almost no tourists here. And the waterfall, together with the surrounding area, makes it the most impressive waterfall in Iceland.Weiterlesen
