August 4, 2024-driving the Tioga Pass

After a great breakfast in Lee Vining we drove up the access road to the Tioga Pass entrance to Yosemite N.P. We had plenty of warning that we needed on-line reservations to get thru the gate.so we were ready as we approached our entry time slot at noon. The Tioga Pass is at just under 10,000 feet altitude, so Paula was wearing her oxygen. We spent a wonderful afternoon driving and walking all over the high meadows, around gorgeous mountain lakes, and zooming along on serpentine cliffside roads .
