Crossing the Columbia River North to Washington to explore the “dry” side of the state staying in Yakima. This is our last frontier stop before we get to the metropolitan areas of Tacoma-Seattle. Yakima is the center of the wine industry of Washington and is surrounded by flourishing vineyards (see Napa and Sonoma valleys).
