Afionas

This morning we set off to explore the north west of the island. En route we called briefly at Sidari (aka Blackpool) to pick up a phone charger lead (we have several back at the hotel 🙄), then continued on to Peroulades. The plan was to have refreshments at a cliff top panorama cafe but, sadly, it was closed (should have checked Google 🤦🏼‍♀️). Anyway, we still took in views of the cliffs and coastline before continuing on to Afionas.

Afionas is a very pretty mountain village with stunning views so, consequently, it was fairly congested. Fortunately we parked on the outskirts of the village and avoided the Greek hire car madness of the centre! After lunch at a little cafe with incredible views, we wondered through the narrow streets to the main viewpoint. The drive there was a but hair-raising at times but well worth it.
