Day 8 Hexham to Wark

16.8miles. Walked into Hexham for a Greggs breakfast- of course. And various supplies. Then off along the South Tyne. Pleasant flat river path then onto the North Tyne before heading north towards Hadrians wall. A welcome break and coffee at Brocolitia fort. Not a lot to see. Onwards and still up across moorland then along a wooded area and river crossing. Into Wark where we are in Battlesteads pub. Very posh- until we arrived. A wonderful shower and clean up.Leggi altro
