Cheviot to Westnewton

15m Perfect camping spot. Shame it rained heavily and kept me awake a little. But a beautiful morning. Set off up to the Pennine way ridge then onto the flagstones. Decided to go to top of Cheviot on a lovely morning. Came off northwards into a pretty Glen of Lambden Burn, surprised by metalled Road and onto College Burn Glen. Swapped onto a lovely riverside path. (A bit up and downy and not near enough the river!) eventually to where we could dip our hot feet and have a bite to eat. River goes into a fairly spectacular gorge. Path went through a ford then Out at Westnewton where Les was kindly waiting. 😊. Lovely evening at Anderson’s and great to see Colin and Finn too.Läs mer
