Nature Kids of Siargao

Wir haben heute Sanne und Yummy (ich hoffe sie schreibt sich so) kennengelernt von der o.g. Charity Organisation. Sunny ist Schwedin und schon mehrere Jahre auf Siargao.

Die Organisation unterhält einen Kids club, der 3-5-jährige spielerisch und kreativ betreut. Sie recyceln Kleidung, Plastik und Styropor, nähen davon Taschen, verschiedene Accessoires oder nähen Bean Bags in verschiedenen Ausführungen und befüllen diese mit dem recyceltem Material. Es gibt Waschmaschinen, wo man selbst waschen kann und eine Wasseraufbereitungsstation.

Mit Stolz verkündet Sunny, dass sie von der Regierung finanziell unabhängig sind und somit ihre Projekte und Ideen selbst gestalten können. Es arbeiten 15 Personen fest bei diesen Projekten und immer mal wieder Freiwillige aus dem Ausland. Eine tolle Sache, wie wir finden.

Today we met Sunny and Yummy (I hope that's how she spells it) from the charity organization mentioned above. Sunny is Swedish and lives on Siargao since several years.

The organisation maintains a kids' club that takes care of 3-5 year olds in a playful and creative way. They recycle clothing, plastic and styrofoam, sew bags, various accessories or bean bags in various designs and fill them with the recycled material. There are washing machines where you can do your own washing and a water treatment station.

Sunny proudly announces that they are financially independent of the government and can therefore shape their projects and ideas themselves. There are 15 permanent people working on this projects and volunteers from abroad from time to time. A great thing, we think.Lue lisää
