• 1770 and Agnes Water

    Next was the longest 90 minute drive in a while, damn it dragged on, heading to 1770. We stopped at the Paperbark forest boardwalk in Agnes Water. Not quite what we were expecting, but a good spot to stretch our legs. We checked into our accommodation, but because we have a tour this afternoon, we didn't set up, we went exploring instead. First was Bustard Bay lookout, then the monument where Captain Cook first came ashore in 1770 (believe it or not). This is the only town in Australia who's name is a number.En savoir plus
