    Chilling out at Senegambia Beach Hotel

    Woke up very early and took a stroll round the hotel checking out the 3 pools, beach, gardens and restaurants. Some shore protection work was going on around the beach which limited the amount of beach space available. One of the swimming pools had a bar located at one end and one could swim to the bar counter to have a drink without leaving the water.

    The hotel is quite large and covers a big expanse of land with over a hundred rooms. From it;s history, it is one of the early prestigious hotel which was set up during the short union between Senegal and Gambia.

    Breakfast was nice with lots of option.

    I spent the rest of the day by the beach side reading and unwinding. Went to the strip for another rice meal and later in the evening I visited a few of the clubs on the strip. Seems Nigerian music is very quite popular in Gambia as most of the songs in the various clubs were Nigerian.
