I arrived here about four in the afternoon. Another lovely day of hiking through dairy lands and forests. I came across one scene. I know my wife would’ve loved. A stand of evergreens and dark shadow with an endless bed of moss cover, covering the floor of the forest.

This is a pleasant little crossroads town. It has more bars and restaurants than you would imagine for a town of the size. I had the local blonde beer here today. It was very good.

I checked in at my Gîte Auberge Saint Jacques. It’s a pleasant little Inn and I had a room to myself and shared bathroom facilities. A good meal and great conversation with a fellow pilgrim. She’s a German person who speaks excellent French and English. She learned her French from a visit with a family when she was young, a family like connection that she enjoys still today. Her plans take her off Camino and she will and her walk in Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, a beautiful historic town that I visited twice last summer.

That’s lifeon Le Chemin. Spending time with wonderful people and wondering when you might cross paths again.

Oh, and I was brave today, I struck up a conversation with a villager that I met along the way. He remarked that I have good cool weather for walking today. And I have photographic proof presented here.
