    Macau

    May 1, 2015 in Macao ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

Random trip! They needed people on the debate team to join Macau Open Debate Tournament & so I got it. Just like that (oops!)

Diverse of nationality in our team we have Thais, Indians, Myanmese, and Dutch.

Beautiful weather. Beautiful city. I can definitely picture myself working here for a few years. & it's so close to Hong Kong! Shame we neither have time nor money to cross there.

This trip is funny cause Macau is really known for Casino but actually NO ONE in the team but me is over the legal age. So Jazz, Bow, & I would try to get in. Jazz would get it everytime...no one doubted he's under 21 hahahah. He was all complaining, saying why does everyone thinks he's old 5555. Bow would get busted...EVERY TIME! We just kept looking for the casino that would let her in. But alas...there was none.

I did get in though. Didn't play much, lost some money even...but well, the free drinks in there kinda make up for it (i think!! 555)

    October 16, 2018 in China ⋅ ☀️ 8 °C

    -Yulong Mountain
Woke up at 6 40 and arrive at the Yulong around 9-ish. Didnt get to see the actual mountain until 11 smth, because China. And it's quite amusing we have to wait for queue after queue to get to the cable. The high cable was under renovation and we had to take the middle one so i actually didnt get to see snow. (There goes my first plan to encouter snow) i have to say the mountain view takes me by surprise. I didnt expect to enjoy it this much, the walk left me a little breathless (a little, i swear) but its so nice nevertheless. We actually spent over an hour on top of the mountain, just chillingRead more

  • Day 4: Blue Moon Lake - Lijiang

    October 16, 2018 in China ⋅ ☀️ 9 °C

    -Blue Moon Lake
We came down to the blue moon lake. And when they say blue, they really meant it! Oh gooood. I even had a conspiracy theory on water colorant there 5555. Anyhow, the view is MAJESTIC. and you know, its not just one small pool i expected, its a very long lake divided into beautiful sections.

You know how people who grow up someplace beautiful probably dont appreciate it, but i think people who grow up with Blue Moon must know its one of the most beautiful places on earth! (Or just china)

Anyway, now otw to old town to get my well-deserve ชานมไข่มุก as a reward for walking so much todayyy

  • Day 5: Shangri-La

    October 17, 2018 in China ⋅ ⛅ 3 °C

Arrive around 6-ish, went to Big Buddha temple, eat Yak Dinner, & just sit in front of the temple talking about life, and teach Thai to Chen...
    Peaceful day mak mak

  • Day 6: Songzanlin Temple - Shangri-la

    October 18, 2018 in China ⋅ ⛅ 9 °C

    -Songzanlin Temple
    -Potatso National Park
    -Chilling at Big Buddha Temple

Fun in a weird way haha. Today we tried to find people to share car to Meili Mt. with us. First thing in the morning, we found 4 Thai girls around our age checking in at our hotel (Gong-Hui Yang Homestay) we were on the frdly term at first but as we learned they are going Yading, we hastily left for our taxi as they tried to ask Chen to help with wechat. We met them again at dinner and was so awkward 5555.

After temple we went to national park, but only 1 out of 5 routes were open (with Y100 ticket!!) Crazy. It was also difficult to find transportation too. Slightly annoyed, we left and sleep at hotel from 5-7pm (so tired!!) And went out to send postcard, then eat Sichuan Spicy Fish with Rice (yum!!!) with Shangrila beer and turned the prayer wheel 2 times. (Met other thais again)

I got to say the Big Buddha (Dafo) is my favorite spot, i just love the fact that it takes a group of people to turn the wheel, and you just cant do it on your own. I also really like the vibe, the fact that we can just sit and stare at it. And be so relaxing~~~

  • Day 7: Meili Moutain - Deqen

    October 19, 2018 in China ⋅ ⛅ 2 °C

    Blue for Sky
    Yellow for Earth
    Red for Fire
    White for Air
    Green for Tree

    ชาวทิเบตเปรียบเปรยภูเขาลูกนี้ว่าเป็นองหญิงเหม่ยลี่ สาวบริสุท เนื่องจากยังไม่เคยมีใครพิชิตเขาลูกนี้ได้

One of the most beautiful hike of this trip!

We finally decided to go to Meili even though we only have 24 hours to spare (including traveling 10 hrs round)
We left Shangri-la early in the morning and arrived in Deqen around noon. Our only plan was to go to observatory and watch the sunrise, but luckily we were able to find a big group of tourist who stay at our hotel to go to Minyong Glacier with us. If we hadnt found these people, we wouldnt be able to afford it! I really love the vibe of traveling in big group (with people in their 40-50s so fit, they came hiking!)

Anyway, the hike wasnt what i expected at all, its so much more beautiful! Its like hiking in กิ่วแม่ปาน but just more beautiful and you ALWAYS see the snow mountain in the background (can see from most place in town, really)

It was about 3 hours hiking (round) and to be honest, the glacier wasnt impressive to me (but the way there made up for it!)

We went back around 6pm and Chen scared me that I, in anyway, cannot get sick at 3000m altitude or I WILL DIE!
Omg! You bet i didnt leave my electric bed that night even though i was soooo hungry! Obviously I made it out alright
