...another must do is this visit to the cu chi tunnel system.

The VC Soldiers used the network of underground routes to house troops, transport communications and supplies, lay booby traps and mount surprise attacks, after which they could disappear. The tunnels linked VC support bases over a distance of some 250 kilometers, from the outskirts of Saigon all the way to the Cambodian border.

There are exhibitions of the booby traps used against the Americans and you can see the actual tunnels that are still in place. There is a tunnel that you can go down and then wander through the tunnels, I managed the first one but it's tiny lol, can't imagine how people actually lived, worked and fought from them.Læs mere
