Oh what a lovely coastal town, can see why it is so popular and the caravan parks are expensive (demand enables). Roger is settled on wanting to get to Carnarvon today - so we're going with a 'day trip' here. As we were driving here I googled things to do in Coral Bay - and one that took my fancy - the beach walk to the shark nursery. Our luck is with us, on checking at the Information centre - tide is right now (high tide) to go and see if any reef sharks are about. Stunning beach walk to the bay they call 'Shark Nursery' and there were at least 20 sharks swimming about. We stayed out of the water and just viewed from the beach and getting up on sand dunes. Plenty of people were wading in the water with them, and a few were snorkling - totally not meant to be doing! Once we get back to the main beach area we decide to go get in our bathers and go for a snorkel. We do this - very enjoyable, but we found this beach's coral nowhere near as colourful as yesterday's Oyster Stacks - and not so prolific with marine animals either. Still very nice, and a relaxing spot to snorkel. Next we go back to our caravan (parked in the main street) and get changed so we can go have some lunch. We end up at the Bakery - very delicious food, Roger has a beef salad roll and I get a chicken foccicia (toasted). We share a chocolate eclair (just as well - it's huge) and have cold drinks each. Well, we've enjoyed our quick look at Coral Bay, back to the road travelling we go.Baca lagi
