Valle Encantado

Soooo.... I had read about this EPIC climbing spot where you need to take a boat over to rocks on the other side. Mark and I showed up at 8pm when it was getting dark and decided it was tll cold and too dark to camp. We then ended up staying in a lovely family "gasthaus", where the owner gave us a whole list of climbing maps in the area, looked like a movie star from one of the wild west movies, and who answered "si, bueno" for almost every single question!
Anyhow, next day we hitchhiked across the river on a canoe and then spent the day climbing. Beautiful area, even though the climbing itself was probably too difficult for us! In the evening Mark had the glorious plan that he would ferry me over with the luggage, take the canoe back, and then swim over afterwards. The water was sooo cold that he spent about half an hour jumping around, getting into the water, and convincing himself he could do it, before the rest of the people finally arrived and took him over.Læs mere
