  • PUERTO MADRYN

    October 19, 2023 in Argentina ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C

After a heck of a drive across the middle of Argentina, we arrived in the seaside town of Puerto Madryn. A few stats from the drive over:

    - 700km driving
    - 10 hours behind the wheel
    - buzzard eagles, an ostrich, condors, guanacos, flamingos were seen
    - 1 porridge stop
    - 138 potholes hit
    - no flat tyres

After such a successful crossing, we met up with our dear (but new) friends Albi and Kit.

We drove onto the worlds largest peninsula which, when you are used to Portland, feels about the size of Europe. We saw penguins, right whales up close and personal from a boat, an owl, an armadillo and maybe an orca (probably not).

A couple of amazing tapas meals and one hell of a sunset which looked like a dystopian landscape. Sunrise breakfast watching the whales wake up and everything was amazing.
