Hiwasa

Late start today after taking a train out from Tokushima to Aratano where I finished yesterday. I was worried about the heat as 29 degrees was the forecast but in fact there was nearly always shade, wind or cloud and it was fine.

In Aratano a tiny old lady working in her garden called out to me, sure that I was going the wrong way. With hand gestures and Google translate she directed me to the right road.

I am very fortunate to be walking through beautiful Japanese countryside and small towns. To visit all 88 temples takes 50-60 days. I only have a few days left and I'll have to come back.Leggi altro
