Villa Limonade Olonzac

Woke up and went for a wander to find breakfast and pick up some food for a picnic. When we got back to the apartment, breakfast had already been delivered—lol 😂

We cycled along clear paths in the sunshine to Trèbes, where there was a market and lovely cafés by the canal. We stopped for a drink and bought a melon to go with lunch.

Then came a bit of a disaster: Jim got another puncture, so we had to fix that.

We had our picnic at the side of a lock of Marseillette under the lime trees in the shade after cycling through a brocante ( car boot sale )

Our next goal was to reach a lake just outside Homps that had been recommended for swimming, but it was super windy, so we waited until we got to the villa to swim there instead.

We had been cycling alongside vineyards all day and our last little bit to the villa was through lush vineyards.

Our hosts are fantastic. We’d arranged to have dinner with them, and they set up a table outside in the garden—where the mozzies feasted on me 😅 But the food was amazing and the wine from the vineyards we cycled through earlier😀
