Mount Bruce - 1234m

What a hike.

9k return with just over 500m elevation gain. Some of it precarious rock scrambling with scary drops.
The bottom third and the top quarter are covered in wildflowers even at this early stage in the season. We may have seen 20+ varieties. In another 3-4 weeks it will be stunning.
The views are well worth the walk. It’s a shame it looks down onto Marandoo mine on the south.
At the top the wind was up and the temps were down - just like a mountain peak. This one just at 1234m.Read more
