    Coral Bay

    June 28, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 25 °C

Two days at beautiful Coral Bay. Ningaloo Reef which fringes Ningaloo Coast (a world heritage site) is 260 km’s long and the only large reef positioned close to land. The coast draws its name from the Aboriginal Wajarri language meaning deep water. The Yamatji peoples have inhabited the area for at least 30,000 years.
It’s rather lovely to stumble from the caravan to the water and enjoy some spectacular snorkelling.
The big crowds here clearly agree, so it’s back to the outback roads and camping by ourselves near a river for us after this.
