Drowning in the air

Bled received 70mm of rain in 1 day. According to the matron of Bailey's hostel, it hasn't been this bad since the 1930s which is not great for the place we planned to go to solely to have a swim 😔 but that's okay! We went on intermittent adventures between (and during) the downpour. We spent the morning doing some uni at a very nice library before reconvening with Bailey for a pizza lunch and a visit to Bled castle. The castle was hosting a wedding and also an exhibition about Rikli the Swiss pseudo scientist who started tourism in bled and made a name for himself by forcing rich people to diet for a fee in the 1800s. After trying bled cake and a free wine tasting we then returned to our hostel to make some friends to pass the rest of the rainy day. We ended up making a communal dinner with our new friends (ft. 1kg of dry pasta) and went out for a boogie with themLæs mere
