Rikli World

Arnold "rickle" Rikli was a Swiss dye factory owner, who came to Bled in the 1850s to fix a bout of illness (read: diarrhea). He then discovered the magical healing properties of rest and relaxation and became a naturpath instead, setting up a hotel in the 1890s to cure clients of the diseases of civilisation. His remedies included vegetarian diet, sobriety and perineum sunning. Tourism in Bled only took off when people were kicked out of Rikli World, but didn't want to leave Bled - so the town opened hotels for them.
