• Pastor David 🙏🏼Edwin! A kind soul!!

    Last day = Unity 🙏🏼🤍

    10 de julho de 2024, Peru ⋅ ☁️ 28 °C

Can I just start off by saying … that while I’m homesick and missing the hugs and comfort of home … I wouldn’t have missed today for anything!

Holy moly! Not even sure where to begin or even if this “footprint” can fit all that’s in my mind and heart. The pictures won’t do the power of the Holy Spirit with us and in us today justice.

    Here was our schedule …

    - Welcome and a few words of thanks.
    - Dental care and hand out tooth brushes
    - Spaghetti lunch with the villagers
    - Blessing of the well
    - Hand out FOOD BAGS!!!
    - Depart

    But here was God’s schedule…

    - Welcome, powerful worship and gratitude from not only our team to the villagers but the Pastor of the village + villagers to us.

    - Dental care and hand out of tooth brushes (Question … are you really supposed to brush 3x times per day??? Table this dental discussion for another day 😉) Who is ever this excited to brush pearly whites? Answer: They were!

    - Marco (a local villager) gave his life to Christ. Our team member Axel (aka Pastor Axel) was asked by Pastor David/Marco to pray over him as he gave his life to Christ. 🙏🏼

    - More worship. Please tune into the song “Blessings” and then just try to place yourself where we were… with these people, praying for them and for their generations to come.

    - 14 others then gave their life to Christ during worship. 14!!!!!!!!!!

    - Blessed a blind girl (Cindi) with her own hammock and pad to sleep on. Back story: This was a young girl that was blind and was in a home where we did a home visit yesterday. Yesterday T and I prayed with her where she slept on the floor, which we later found out was her space. So much that “her place” on the wood floor was worn and smooth where she lays. Her smile says it all!

    - Pastor David asked me to go take a picture with him by the drilling water well. Who, me??? Absolutely!!! Love this guys soul and will be forever grateful for his time and words. 🙏🏼 I feel seen by him and he knows my struggles without me saying a word.

    - Spaghetti lunch. Mounds of pasta, rice and chicken for all!! We weren’t sure we would have enough but loaves and fishes anyone?

    - Food bags. 87 food bags with one liter of soda pop and a biblioteca. Each family received about 2 weeks of food.

Then… once that work was done, we departed to waves goodbye, smiles and tears. Both from the shore and many from the boat.

Unified under our God… all praising Him for His work through us this week.

But there’s more! We arrived back to Nina Rumi and where Susan (new in her faith) and one of our fearless leaders, Venetia, were baptized by Pastor David. So special that we were able to experience this with these two lovely souls.

Then it was rocking chair time… Time to sit and reflect on the porch. And just as I sat down after a cold-refreshing shower to reflect on the day by myself with my blessed Bible, enter Pastor David. He came over and sat next to me on our porch and we read today’s Bible verse together … 2 Timothy 3:16-17, with the help of Esli, one of the translators (like Presley but not). Tawyna joined us and we had some special time with Pastor David and last words of wisdom.

Tomorrow we pack up early and head back to reality where SO many blessings await for me. I’m so ready to be home and will be returning a different type of Big Ang. Maybe this version of Big Ang will live life knowing she serves a Big God and He can (and will) do Big things.

So I’ll pack my things, along my faith that is the size of a mustard seed and see what kind of mountains He will move!

Until next time Peru and people of La Libertad! Until next time…

    ✌🏼🤍🙏🏼
