No way! We had the satisfaction of looking back at the heights from which we came

We are trying not to take these scenes for granted. It's storybook stuff.

Middle Earth

Today was day 2 of our trek across the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park. There were zero flat sectors on our trusty Komoot map. We were either concentrating hard on the long morning descent or working hard as we tackled the switch backs and 40 degree tracks on the way to our shelter. I've had a few hotel upgrades over the years but none of them have given me greater pleasure than being offered two private rooms with ensuites when we expecting dorm accomodation with 2 randoms. We are pretending to be characters from LOTR but we probably identified more closely with Disney princesses.Read more
