Byron Bay beaches

On our way up to Wooyung, we planned next week’s trip to the Great Barrier Reef. George had read in the book on the East coast about a boat trip at Airlie Beach that took us out to it in a luxury yacht, the Lady Enid. Found that they only had one that suited our dates, next Wednesday 20th, so I booked it. Woohoo!

Later George booked a 2- night stay in Airlie Beach hotel, a room with an ocean view. So kinda roughing it, we’re treating ourselves. But it’ll mean that two days next week on Monday and Tuesday, we’ll have to travel 550km each day to get to Airlie on time. We can do it!

On our way to Wooyung, we stopped off to view the beaches at Byron Bay… Clarke’s Beach and the long Tallow Beach with lots of dense vegetation. No time to enjoy, we pushed on.Read more
