Road to Monkey Mia

For lunch we stopped at the Little Lagoon, a beautiful lake closed to the ocean. We found a shelters picknick area here and had our 1 hour lunchbreak.

After lunch we drove to Monkey Mia where we planned to stay over night. But when we found out, that you have to pay 15$ per person plus campground fees for staying here, we were deciding against it! The campground is already pretty expensive and then 30$ extra on top?! No way!
Might be nice here but we have seen already so many beautiful beaches around, for free, that we don’t need to stay here!

So we went to Denham, the next town to fuel up and we saw a lot of emus walking around on the roads, also in the middle of the town!! 😳
And they don’t move away for cars, they absolutely don’t care if there is a car coming or not.
So I had to break hard a few times to not drive over them! 😬😅

On the way back to Hamelin Pool, where we gonna stay one more night now, we stopped at a bay where you with a little bit luck can see sharks up close. We had no luck but the bay and beach was anyway nice for a small stop.

Back at the campground we fixed our laundry and had nice swim in the pool, or not just a swim 🙈😂
We were alone and had a lot of fun I can say 😉😂

During the day we had up to 34 degrees but on the way to Hamelin Pool it got hotter and hotter, up to 40 degrees 😳🥵

After a nice shower we cooked dinner and went to bed early, tired from the heat.Leia mais
