Mississippi

Landed in New Orleans around 12:30am on Saturday. Picked up my rental car and drove the 45 minutes to a little town called Slidell. I opted for a Motel 6 since I only needed a room for a few hours. It wasn’t 4 star lodging but it did the job.

The time difference had me up early so I had plenty of time to hit the Mississippi line before checking into my 9:30am swamp tour. I drove across the state line, spent a few minutes taking a photo and left. Hey...it counts as being in the state so I can officially cross it off my list!Read more
