We arrived today to a temperature of 35 degrees and 85% humidity. The flight was uneventful until it came to getting down our hand luggage from the overhead compartment. Ours was okay but a small woman was struggling with hers and it was about to fall on her. Vic to the rescue!!! What I didn't know was that it far exceeded the weight limit and was nearly snapping my wrist. Just as I was about to lose my grip and man carrying an 8 month old baby turned around and the poor baby wore a clunk on his head. If looks could kill I would have died a slow, methodical 'and painful death by a thousand cuts with a rusty razor blade. Exit stage left ASAP.

Checked into our hotel and then a quick walk to Benh Tanh market. Wow!!! ow things have changed since pur visit here 12 years ago. Coffee shops everywhere. No cafes on the footpath with kindergarten table and chairs and the market has lost its congestion and trader hagglers. Vietnam has lost its innocence and is much more commercialised for the visiting tourist. There is a 4 hour time difference between here and home for a quick meal and back to our Hotel for a well earned sleep.Lue lisää
