Lorca - Alicante - Vallencia

The Paradore at Lorca was quite something! Very relaxing.
Departure this am very smooth, followed by a trip the coast to Alicante and a visit to St Barbara’s Castle. More of a fort in reality. Nice parking msn sorted out or parking under a tree no less. Temp about 30+. As we climbed up to the top of the hill. The elevator was on the seaward side! Good trip, fabulous views. Nice ice cream. Then off to the nougat factory, but a quick pivot when we discovered it would be closed!!! On to Valencia to Hotel Palau De La Mar. it’s quite central, rooms modern. We had the most helpful check-in person to date! One could be cynical and say that this would not a highly contested competition, but he was a nice helpful guy. Off down the street to get lunch at 4pm. We hit the jackpot. Good food and another helpful person! Attempts at shopping followed. No joy there! Temp about 34c at 6pm.
