Train to Paddington and took a National line train to Slough station then a two carriage diesel motor rail to Windsor Eton. Coffee and cake by the Thames then across to Eton and wandered down to Eton College. Visited Windsor Castle as the weather deteriorated and saw Queen Mary’s Dolls House designed in 1923. Also visited the State Apartments containing paintings by Rembrandt and Rubens. As well looked at St George’s Chapel with its gothic architecture. Beers and fish, chips and peas at the Horse and Groom opposite Windsor Castle. Early night back at Acton Town Hotel.Lue lisää
