    After lunch drove to the Chateau de Foix above the Ariege valley and the town of Foix in the Occitanie region of France. We arrived around 4.30pm. Explored the restored Foix Carthar castle which was built in the 10th century with all the other tourists. The Catalan flag was flying at the castle. After visiting the castle we drove to our accommodation in a rural Airbnb, Chemin de Laborite Foix Ariege department French Occitanie region. Returned to Foix town centre and had dinner at a Persian restaurant. Back at the traditional French rural B & B accommodation just after 9pm.Read more
