• A trip back in time .......

    An early start after a delicious cooked breakfast we drove to the Beamish Open-Air Museum which was the first of its type in England. Pioneering the concept of a living museum as its guiding principle is to preserve an example of everyday life in urban and rural North East England at the climax of industrialisation in the early 20th century. 
    Upon entering the museum we jumped on a vintage double decker open topped trolley 🚎 bus for the short ride downhill back in time to the 1800’s.
    After a tiring day of walking between the mid 1800’s and the 1970’s we arrived back at the hotel once again tired and peckish. Not bothering to change we went straight to the bar and ordered meals and drinks and stayed put.
