Arrival in London

We arrived in London around noon. We ran into Anne Labelle, previously with the Minto Mine, in the customs lineup. She's traveling to Portugal for a holiday and was wearing a straw hat. We took the Heathrow express to Paddington and bought our future rail tickets at the ticket centre there. Our hotel (Hotel Indigo) is a boutique hotel on London Street near the station. The room is nice. We went for drinks at the Sussex Arms and watched the Scottish Cup football final there. Then we went for dinner beside our hotel. Afterwards we walked through Hyde Park. We"re both pretty tired (didn't sleep much at all on the plane). The weather here is great - broken cloud, lots of sun and a cooling breeze. The hotel has air conditioning, so we'll sleep well tonight!Leggi altro
