    We took a couple of trains and a bus to get here today. It's a seaside town named after a 19h century novel by Kingsley. It's also the home of Tarka the Otter from a book by Williamson. It's also the only town with an exclamation mark in its name. We are in a nice old guest house called the Village Inn, but it may be a bit noisy as the pub is just below. There are beautiful rose bushes and other flowers around the property. The ocean is calm and the weather looks a bit better with some blue sky around. It's a fairly unattractive resort town just outside of Bideford with a mix of nice old and really unattractive new buildings. We had dinner at the Village Inn and then packed up for tomorrow.Read more
