To Calvi

We met up at the Marseille airport with Hilary Sharp (the leader of our group) and two other ladies (Barb from Toronto and Simone who is a neighbour of Hilary's in France). We flew to Calvi in Corsica and got taxis to our hotel. It was pretty early so we left the bags there and wandered around town for the morning. The city has a nice harbour and is surrounded by very high mountains of granite. We could see snow on one mountain. It was hot today, around 28 or so. We had lunch down by the water and then went back to our room and got our swimming stuff on. We walked down to this small beach with coarse sand and rocks just near our hotel and went in the ocean. It is quite warm on the surface. We sat by the pool after that and then wandered into town for a drink. We are meeting up with the group tonight over dinner. Charlie Shulz isn't able to be here as he has bad flu so Bob is the only guy on the trip.Lue lisää
