A day of blue skies and sunshine — with a forecasted high of 61F — begged to be enjoyed. So, we tapped into the AllTrails app to find ourselves somewhere new to go for a stroll.

A trail that runs through Cottonwood Creek Park, about 4.5 miles from our house, fit the bill perfectly. Dog owners played fetch with their pups. Young adults got their exercise at the nearby disc golf course. A group of socially-distanced young ladies enjoyed a picnic. Only a few people ventured onto the dirt path, which we had to ourselves except in a few places where we encountered like-minded people seeking a peaceful stroll.
