    With the skies clouding over and the rain beginning to fall, we drove over to the Cortez Cultural Center … the original reason we came to town.

    The center, which is housed in a mercantile building that dates back to 1909, bills itself as being a source of information for archaeology and American Indian culture. It has a few exhibits and there were some pieces of art on display in the back. Our visit was a short one, but it was worth a stop to check it out.Read more
