Unexpected Overseas Trip

What a crazy couple of days we have had since our return home Sunday from our planned month-long RV-trip that we ended up shortening to just one week!

We are currently at the USO Lounge at the Denver International Airport (DEN) … awaiting our flight to Toronto’s Pearson International Airport (YYZ) in Ontario, Canada.

To make a long story short, the reason for our reversal of travel plans, which will eventually find us in Türkiye for the second time this year, is a glitch with Turkish Airlines (THY) flight vouchers we received when we canceled a summer trip to Europe this past July.

Turns out that the vouchers are expiring in early October of this year … not next year as we’d been led to believe. Not willing to let the vouchers go to waste, we scrambled to change plans over the last few days … driving home from southwestern Colorado, packing bags, and arranging last minute details for what will now be a month long overseas trip.
