    QAGOMA stands for “Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art.” It’s two art galleries under one umbrella … both located within the Queensland Cultural Centre in the South Bank precinct.

    At one point today, we got tired of feeling hot and sweaty and went in search of somewhere cool. That place turned out to be GOMA. That it was free — like all of the other state galleries we’ve visited around Australia — was a bonus. That the art on exhibit was right up our alley — with plenty of colorful Aboriginal art that pleased our eye — well, that was a double bonus.    Read more
