NB Day 4: Arctic Circle Bound

Two stops overnight … Brønnøysund, Sandnessjøen; and Nesna at 6:00a … all long enough to drop-off/pick-up cargo and port-to-port passengers. Though I was up and down throughout the wee hours, I missed them all. Perhaps I’ll catch them on the way back.

With my sinuses continuing to drain, it wasn’t the most restful night. That said, the fizzy expectorant — think Alka Seltzer-like — seems to be doing the trick without fits of coughing. I am not stuffed up; nor do I have a headache. I wish, however, that we had brought some Vicks VapoRub with us as it always helps at night. We figured that we’d pick some up from a pharmacy if needed. Hah! Apparently the pharmacies in Trondheim don’t stock it. Mui will try to get some at our next stop.

Once again, Mui played butler, bringing breakfast for me to nibble on in the cabin. Once again, I had to be satisfied with taking photos from the cabin … with Mui contributing to my collection of images when he spotted scenery of interest.Read more
