• Angles sur l'Anglin

Walking was the order and of the day, so we drove into Angles sur l’Anglin to set off on the waymarked yellow route. The village is a perfect mixture of castle ruins and old houses with classic french shutters.

After no sign of an arrow for a while we nearly set off down a path but then found a clear sign with a yellow marking. Lovely picnic lunch at a spot with a great vista. Countless turns later we realised that the signs must be pointing out the way for a much longer yellow route than the one we were intending to complete, so we retraced our steps. We took a quick detour to see a rock formation through an ancient moss filled wood.

We had already spotted a Salon de the on the way so we stopped in for some lovely tea and ice cream.
