National Park La Brenne

Today dawned sunny and bright so we decided to visit the National Park de la Brenne, which is basically a network of lakes interspersed with ancient woodland. First stop of the day was a great bird hide at Lake Purais... lots of water lilies and nesting whiskered terns. We visited three hides in total... all with different birds on offer. Highlights were the red backed shrike and the black redstart! Home for lunch before an afternoon swim dodging the showers. Three more games of ping pong...
