From 300m altitude, we climbed, in 2nd gear, to 1553m slowly winding our way up through spectacular scenery. Going down more hairpin bends which became scary pin bends when our brakes overheated and failed. " What's that burning smell?". So we drove down the mountain in 1st gear and clutch, searching for a place to stop. Swinging left into site filled with trucks, they tried to stop us, no entry! We ignored them and came to a halt. The nice German man explained it was a film set, they were making a movie and we couldn't stay. We stayed. Gently pouring our precious mountain water over the boiling brakes and chatting to the movie man, we were soon on our way, from 1553m down to 79m where we met L, plus L & K for dinner.Leia mais
