    Tapas in La Coruña

    April 2 in Spain ⋅ 🌧 14 °C

From the Tower of Hercules, we walked back towards the old town, stopping off at the Museo de Belas Artes da Coruña, wherein they had a fabulous Van Dyck of Charles I. We also passed a pretty cool abandoned old prison on the way. In the old town, after visiting the beautiful Praza de Maria Píta, we stopped at local haunt La Bombilla for some calamari and chorizo tapas, before going to Victoria for octopus, sardine and prawn tapas, both with a local brew. All well timed, as the forecast rain set in whilst we were eating.

Sailing away at 4.30pm, the captain predicted heavy vibrations through the ship as two large tugs, and a third on stand by, plus our thrusters were needed to manoeuvre us out in the high winds.

We managed to get into the virtual queue for the 6th Street Diner this evening (which fills up in under ten minutes from opening) for American diner-style fare.
