National Archaeological Museum, Athens

After a beer stop at the Acropolis Museum, and a lunch stop at Diogenes Food Hall, Ben mercifully hailed us a taxi rather than walk the 30 minutes in 33° heat to the National Archaeological Museum. Bit of a gamble - their website said they were open but Google said they shut early...thankfully, the website was correct. So, on aching feet we explored the vast galleries of the NAM, with fabulous statuary, pottery and metal work. When our feet finally gave out, we retired to our second museum cafe of the day for our second beer of the day! But at least we've spent the day in air conditioning.Leer más
